Tom Mastin and wife Kathy live in an extensively remodeled old farm house with a 100 year-old pecan orchard as their front yard. Kathy loves to garden and spends a lot of time mowing grass on her personal ZTR. Tom has a fenced ten-acre area where he exercises and trains their bird dogs. Just down Norwood Springs Road from their home place is their 400-acre farm that they call Norwood Plantation. Since Tom is a professional forester and has spent much of his career managing, buying and selling timberland, most of the farm is in various ages of planted pine timber. Tom, Kathy, and family spend a considerable amount of effort managing the farm for hunting with an emphasis on quail, but also deer and turkey. The family spends many enjoyable hours working and recreating on this property where they can say without reservation that they have definitely found their Favorite Place.
